M's Shower/Bachelorette Party

It all started with this beautiful invite created by the brillant talents of Winks & Daisies.  She is extremely talented and I love all the cards she creates as well as the other unique pieces of art she designs.  I'll be a repeat customer for as long as her little shop is in existence.  You can check out her Etsy site out here

Marah's colors for her wedding are different shades of pinks and some greens, so I tried to incorporate that into her shower too.

We had a great time celebrating the new milestone in Marah's life last weekend.  She is a dear friend and I was so honored to host her lingerie shower/bachelorette party.  Here are some photos from the event.

Do you notice what the background of this framed art says? (Answer:  mattandmarah)

Leah I have a question.. I love how your photos are always so bright, do you do this in-camera (like meter a little over exposed) or do you do it in post? I always love your pics, great job!!

awww...thank you! :-) i do most of it in camera (i meter to the right a bit). sometimes i brighten it a bit in post as well (just depends) to give it that extra umph.

thanks for a quick reply, you must know how impatient i am ;) i just love your photos! i've recently been metering to the right and it's quite a learning curve not having to up the exposure in post, lol. love your blogs, and your cuteness of a dd!

Leah...Stunning job on the shower/bachelorette party!!! This is probably an odd question to ask but, do you use something special to hang up your decors? A 3M product? I'm just curious because when I host certain events I don't even think about switching up the wall.

Love it!

dorie -- thank you! ;-) our living room is empty right now -- we haven't bought furntiure or painted/decorated in there yet, so it's a blank slate. i probably wouldn't think to put things on the walls either if that wasn't the case. and since it's empty and we haven't painted yet, i just used nails for everything...i figured everything would be more secure and i wouldn't need to worry about it. i've just got a lot of holes to fill before we paint in there now. ;-)
