On December 27, 2012, my dear friend, Joanna, and I embarked on a project of sorts. She had a vision and requested my help. I walked into her home that day and was greeted by a naturally beautiful woman...inside and out. Broken yet strong. Please click here to read more about that day.
That day we talked a little about how wonderful it would be to complete this project a year later by making it a "then and now" project. And so, here we are. A year later.
When I took the photos on December 27, 2012, Joanna still had a couple chemo treatments left. She has been active and feeling great since completing her treatments. I know everyone who knows Joanna is blessed by her and we all feel so grateful for her life.
Exactly, one year later to the day on December 27, 2013, I again walked into her home greeted by a beautiful glowing woman adorned with a gorgeous head of red hair. I couldn't have been happier for her and my heart felt so much joy to see the smile on her face. What made it even better was that I got to meet her girls for the first time. Seeing the interaction between the three of them and seeing her girls so full of life, and so full of love for their mama, just about made my heart melt. How blessed they all are to have one another. She is such an amazing wife, mother, and friend! Love you, sweet Joanna! <3
Here is the then and now...
